About Fast Grow Fertiliser

The Fast Grow Story.

I have always though that natural fertilisers were too expensive. In late 2013, I spoke to someone who knew a lot more about this sector than I do. Luckily, as it turned out he felt the same. However, to enter this market, we had to come up with something that no one else had.

As everyone knows, seaweed is an excellent fertiliser and has been used for centuries. Seaweed is also available as a fertiliser under several different labels on the shelf, but is extremely expensive.
So we hit on an idea. ‘Why not blend seaweed with something else to increase its value as a fertiliser, but bring down the price’. This is where chicken manure entered the fray.

Seaweed is used as a soil improver, and produces dramatic results in plants including an increase in yield by up to 40%, increased seed germination, better tolerance to frost and an enhanced ability to absorb trace elements.
Chicken manure is an excellent source for nitrogen which is excellent for the garden especially for vegetables like cauliflower, cabbage, potatoes etc.
We also have ample supplies of both available locally (we’re the only company that sources our own raw materials, blending, treating and pelleting ourselves in our own plant).

Combining both would surely produce a high end fantastic fertiliser at a reasonable price, which would also be unique on the market.
Fast Grow was born!
Development and testing started in February 2014 showing excellent results.
Fast Grow was ready for a soft launch in 10 stores around Ireland in late summer 2015.

Sales were excellent, and all 10 stores are still Fast Grow customers.
We launched on the market in February 2016, and haven’t stopped since.
As a new range of product, I tend to measure quality not by sales but rather by the complaints received.
From the time we had our soft launch in 2015, we have not received one complaint. That to me is the best possible compliment to a product.
The Fast Grow name is building. People are actually coming back to stores specifically to buy our product.
However, this is not just down to the fact that Fast Grow is so good (which it is), but we also have to acknowledge the partnership we have with our retailers who took a risk, brought in a new, unknown product range, and (after using it and trusting us) recommended it to their customers.
I look forward to continuing to work with all our retailers across Ireland and the UK and building a loyal customer base who want top quality 100% natural environmentally friendly fertiliser at a reasonable price.

As someone who has embarked on a giant vegetable growing journey over the last three years,
I’ve been looking for a quality product at a reasonable price. I liked the fact that Fast Grow products were completely organic so it ticked all the boxes for me.
The season isn’t over yet, but I’m having great results with fast Grow so far. My giant marrows appear to be thriving as a result of using it.
I’ll personally be purchasing Fast Grow again next season.
Love the stuff.

Using Fastgrow has made all the difference to my garden. If used early enough in the season, lightly worked in around my herbaceous perennials, I have found it gives a fantastic boost. They build up strong healthy foliage, and by the time the warm summer days arrive the leaves shade the soil, reducing the need to water. This is just one of the benefits in my flower garden.

The reception from the public has been excellent and sales have been very good from the start.

After previously using a combination of 6 different base dressings for my Dahlias. This year I have just used blood fish and bone and Fast Grow Fertiliser for the perfect combination of what plants love. Poultry and Seaweed meal.
The plants got a top dressing 6 weeks later of Fast Grow and I couldn’t be happier with the results.

Having been lucky enough to receive some free samples of FGF I was keen to see the effect it had on my vegetables. I set about trialling it on my Potatoes (container & ground), tomatoes, broccoli and a few other staples. The potatoes were an instant success. The foliage was greener, quicker to appear and in general looked a healthier plant. On my brassicas was where I saw the most difference. Both my broccoli and cabbage responded amazingly to the FG, with both ready to harvest at least 10 days earlier than the ones grown with my normal BFB fertilizer. My one concern with FGF is the re-application, particularly with potatoes you want the fertilizer deep down so I have been also using at as a compost tea. I simply use a net and suspend the FG in a watering can for 10 minutes and water as usual. This compost tea has had particularly good results on my lawn also.

I will certainly be using FGF next year and intend to feed all of my allotment crops with it.
